The Greatest Competition of All Time

The World Cell Phone Tossing Competition. I will rule you, World Cell Phone Tossing Competition! Finland, here I come!

Advice from a tree

by Ilan Shamir

Stand Tall and Proud.
Sink your roots deeply into the Earth.
Reflect the light of a greater source.
Think long term.
Go out on a limb.
Remember your place among all living beings.
Embrace with joy the changing seasons
For each yields its own abundance.
The Energy and Birth of Spring
The Growth and Contentment of Summer
The Wisdom to let go of leaves in the Fall
The Rest and Quiet Renewal of Winter.

Feel the wind and the sun
And delight in their presence.
Look up at the moon that shines down upon you
And the mystery of the stars at night.
Seek nourishment from the good things in life
Simple pleasures
Earth, fresh air, light.

Be content with your natural beauty.
Drink plenty of water.
Let your limbs sway and dance in the breezes.
Be flexible.
Remember your roots.

Enjoy the view.

A real skateboarder

There can be no contesting it!!

I am a real skateboarder as of today! I hit the park with the Skatemoms, spent two hours sweating in the sun, learning how to drop in off a 5 foot ramp, not fall on my ass too many times, and peel over giggling multiple times.

Here are the pictures to prove it!

(compliments of one fine photographer: Austin Elston)

I may not look good, but I sure had fun!

And here's one of my fabulous skating partner: Patti Hurst! (she's in the back)

And to end this post - I leave you with an image you won't soon forget. Clearly, I am not as bendy as my niece, Emma. What a good boarder she will make!

Chop Shop Studios

Austin and I have just discovered how to add our music videos, short films, and what not to our blog: Chop Shop Studios!

Come have poke around, see what you think, and be sure to let us know your thoughts about our work. Here's our new logo, designed by the one and only Josh!
We are always looking for stories to tell. Please send us yours!
